Amp It Up To...... Sleigh Bells

After the rapid build up to release of the ear shattering single 'Bitter Rivals', the Brooklyn duo  ( Alexis Krauss and Derek Miller) who make up Sleigh Bells had released the upcoming  'Reign of Terror' to second album, 'Bitter Rivals'.
 What makes them so unique?
A sentence for Sleigh Bells; pure alt, psych pop ferocity.
Their collection of past work has made Sleigh Bells's unmistakable sound, predominantly drawing an addictive following for the two.
Take the synthy guitar on 'Crush' as well as hyped frequency of  'Demons' dark yet screaming, Krauss's vocals spitting to be 'on a mission' against them, the cheerleader gone Helium expression in 'End of the Line' all results in a mish mash of blow-up drum explosions, fiercely distorted guitar thrashes and frankly an evolution of pop-gone-punk in many aspects. However Krauss's vocals vary down to the dreamier, enlightened 'End of the Line' .But still the heavy 'Comeback Kid' shows once again a fierce side to the pair,Miller's harsh riffs make an intense contrast to the added synthy squalls and provocative vocals . As a whole,  'Reign of Terror' deals with some loss in the past, perhaps a step up from previous debut ' Treats'.

However new album, 'Bitter Rivals' deals with a whole new element for Sleigh Bells- moving on. Tunes such as 'Young Legends' is predominately more R'n'B focused to earlier work, that's not to say the punchy lyrics and full on metal isn't missing, 'Minnie' has the similar up-thrall to the chaos of 'Bitter Rivals' ( single). Although 'Tiger Kit' has the reminiscence of Gn'R pop. Never has a description of 'all over the place' been such a complimentary verdict of an album, it literally is a combination of sped up pop/rock/metal and R'n'B in 10 songs. The lyric meanings in 'Reign of Terror' are darker and more solemn than to 'Bitter rivals' but in many elements helps it to become a more intense record with such variation. Indefinitely Sleigh Bells's new release is a personal celebration of an emotive future, the feeling's sure to spread global in the following months to its release.
